In this article, you'll discover how to create a learning journey in Stellar Labs, incorporating neuroscience and AI.
Who can create journeys?
Users with a Journey Creator or Admin role can find the option to create new journeys on their homepage.
I want my Subject Matter Experts to be able to build training, is this possible?
All users can become journey creators through the admin settings (for more info see How do I invite new users and manage access in my organisation? article). Furthermore, thanks to the application of our GEAR methodology, your Subject Matter Experts will automatically become expert trainers!
What are the main steps to create a journey?
To generate a new journey, we first need to define a set of parameters that will guide our AI models in developing a learning journey.
These parameters are divided in 4 steps:
- Choose a skill
- Define the audience
- Choose behaviours
- Add documents.
Step 1: Choose skill
This will define the following steps, so please make sure it's fitting your business needs and its aligned with your stakeholders.
Step 2: Define audience
This will define the following steps, so please ensure it fits your business needs and aligns with your stakeholders.
We recommend keeping the audience as specific as possible. For example, instead of "Software Engineers," try specifying "Junior Software Engineers."
Step 3: Choose behaviours
Behaviours are what you want learners to be able to DO after completing the journey. By default, these are preselected by AI based on your previous choices, but you can adapt this initial suggestion and select the behaviours you need.
Here are some writing tips
- Be concise and meaningful.
- Make it observable
- Use active verbs.
- Aligned with business objectives
Step 4: Add documents
In this step, you can upload a file from your device containing relevant information related to the journey's guiding contents.
The journey outcome
The resulting journey will be a combination of these initial settings, integrated with the GEAR methodology, and processed through AI.
The journey will be structured based on a neuroscience learning methodology called GEAR. You can learn more about its activities and methods here.
